Food: 4/5 (Good food that's beautiful!) Service: 4/5 (Service was good!) Atmosphere: 5/5 (Atmosphere was clean and awesome!) BITES Asian Kitchen + Bar overall experience was excellent and awesome! Loved the vibe, the culture, the food, and the love. Located in Chicago, IL, this is a fun delicious restaurant. I first noticed it on Food Network and had to try. This restaurant does not disappoint! The food was fun and good! I tried the taro fries, crab ragoon, sushi, and ramen. I love the innovative ideas - very unique in their own styles and flavors. The service was good! Although service was slow, the server was great and attentive. The environment was fun, inviting, full of energy, and energetic. The decor made the experience and the restaurant was cozy. Street parking is available with a price between $30-50.

We are so happy to discover this place! Their dishes are a creative fusion of American, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The dishes had good flavors and the portion was super generous! I had the mentaiko pasta — it’s super rich and creamy with juicy shrimps, tobiko, and a big fat fried soft shell crab. I did wish the dish was less rich and the soft shell crab was coated with a lighter batter, but the flavor is good. The galbi with kimchi fried rice is super flavorful and savory. The galbi is so tender and falls off the bone. Their legendary crab rangoons are good — it tastes like a fusion of dumpling and cream cheese. Service was amazing. The decorations and interior are so adorable! We would love to come back and try more dishes.

Bites is definitely a Wrigleyville gem! The decor transports you to an island bar in the South Pacific and the cuisine is very delicious! You can't go wrong with one of their bao buns, signature Maki rolls or noodle dishes. Honestly everything sounded good. A must try if you're in the Wrigleyville area!

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming - loved all the fun decorations and hawaiian-y vibes. It was definitely very busy when we arrived. We waited a little bit past our reservation, but the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. We went for restaurant week and the food was great—fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Lots of food, 4 courses!!! I’d say this was one of the most worth restaurant week places we’ve been too. It was only $45 for dinner. The overall experience was fantastic. Our waitress, Jip, was very kind throughout our restaurant experience! Helped me out with a friend’s birthday too. Gave us complimentary lemon drop shots and a little birthday celebration :) I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant to friends and family.

First time at Bites and I struggled with the overall review rating! Decided I couldn't give this place under 4 stars because whoever is cooking in the kitchen has some serious skill, and you can't be mad sitting under a palm tree. Just wish the professionalism of the restaurant matched the superior food quality To start off, our service was horrendous. We went for the first day of restaurant week. The restaurant wasn't that busy due to the freezing temps, but we proceeded to watch our server socialize with the bartenders, chat with other waitstaff at the back kitchen window and pay no attention to our table. Took ~20 minutes to be greeted and get a drink order and nearly every table that was seated after us was finished before we even saw dessert. 1/5 stars Now the food...THAT is what will bring us back and keep us dreaming of BITES. Food reviews: Crab Rangoon--crispy light outside with a delicate flavorful filling. Unlike any crab Rangoon I've had before and not heavy at all Corn ribs--good cook, solid flavor, but just okay compared to rest of dishes 24k maki--amazing flavor profile and generous portion of fish.
